Broadford, Vic 3658

Concert One: Candlelit Concert on SATURDAY 22 July 2017 at 7.30 pm. Andrew Byrne on a 13 Course gut strung lute plays the virtuosic works of Sylvius Weiss. Please note this concert is on a Saturday evening and not the usual Sunday late afternoon.
Concert Two: Sunday 27 August at 4.00pm - Sweelinck to J.S. Bach; This harpsichord recital explores northern European keyboard music from around 1600 to 1750. The relatively little known Sweelinck, composer of a wide range of keyboard music ranging from the purely delightful to the seriously contrapuntal, deserves to be known as the father of Nothern European keyboard music. He was a major influence upon important composers such as Reincken, Buxtehude Muffat and J.S. Bach.

Concert Three: Sunday 15 October at 4.00pm - Great composers for Oboe - Jane Downer returns to play sonatas by Handel Telemann and Vivaldi as well as works by Bach on baroque oboe. This concert being in part a CD launch, will include works from her highly acclaimed CD.

Concert Four: Sunday 12 November at 4.00pm - Music for a King - Greg Dikmans and Peter Hagen present a programme of works by Quantz, Benda, J.S. and C.P.E. Bach and the King (Frederick The Great) himself.

Book For All four Concerts: and receive a complimentary CD featuring Greg Dikmans and Lucinda Moon performing Boismortier duets for flute and violin on period instruments.

Please note that tickets with food will close two days before each concert so I can get numbers to the caterer, One Red Pantry.
