WIRED OPEN LABS: Find, Design, Create - DIY Textiles
  • The WIRED Lab introduces JEMIMA SAUNDERS as SHE presents 'find, Design, Create', as part of the Wired Open Labs Workshop Series 2017.

    A Natural Dye Workshop for adults.

  • In THis 3 Hour Workshop You will Learn:

    A beginners natural dyeing workshop with Jemima Saunders, an artist with 18 years experience working with natural dyes.
    Learn the ancient craft of creating safe colour from plants readily available in your local area.
    With a focus on community and shared learning, come along and experience the natural dyeing process from plant, to pot, to fibre.
    Discuss possibilities for further enrichment and artistic endeavours utilising nature as a catalyst for change.

  • Three scarves in different fibres, plus extra for future projects.

  • A pair of scissors.
    Comfortable clothes that aren't precious, and a smock or apron is a good idea.
    Comfortable, closed toed shoes.
