Whether or not you have Scottish blood in your veins, why not travel with us on our luxurious air-conditioned Blue Zephyr train to the 40th Anniversary Highland Games at Bundanoon?
This event has accumulated many commendations for excellence, and is attended by 20,000 people annually. Leave your car and cares behind and see such traditional (and not so traditional) events as the caber toss, shot put and haggis hurling, culminating in the Brigadoon Heavy Challenge. A great day of good-natured spectacle and fun — even enjoyed by many who could not claim any Scottish connection!
Join the train at Sydney’s Central Station, Campbelltown, or Picton for a scenic cruise through the Southern Highlands. Enjoy our included Champagne Breakfast ... with a Scottish twist, before disembarking at ‘Brigadoon’ (Bundanoon Station).

Over 100 variety stalls will be at the Brigadoon grounds, plus Clan information tents. The grounds are alcohol free but there is a bar at the adjacent bowling club.
Your tickets for Brigadoon are actually a ‘Fergie’ badge. These will be handed out on the train and need to be worn on your shirt/jacket for the day. You may move between the venue or the Bundanoon village as you wish as your badge gains you unlimited entry.
A courtesy shuttle bus service will operate at irregular intervals for elderly and disabled patrons — we are informed that this leaves from the other side of the Station (take the level crossing near the main village shopping centre).
Brigadoon always goes ahead — RAIN, HAIL OR SHINE! If the day looks like it will be damp, please bring an umbrella and a small ground sheet to sit on the large grassed surrounds.
Passengers enjoying the Highland Games will be able to purchase lunch from one of the many outlets at Brigadoon on the day or simply take a picnic. We suggest you take a small mat or folding chair and a showerproof jacket in case of rain. We are going to the highlands after all!
A selection of beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks are available for purchase with from the bars onboard the train.
Strictly no BYO — the train has fully licensed bars!
