2017 - 21st May - IFKKA Full Contact Kumite Tournament

Description: IFK-Australia Karate Tournament - Full Contact Kyokushin Rules.

This event is open to:

  • Adults Male and Female - novice, intermediate and advanced.
  • Cadets Male and Female - 16 & 17 years, novice and open.
  • Junior Boys and Girls - 11-15 years minimum grade 8th kyu

Date & Time: Sunday 21st May 2017, Check-in 9.30am- Starts 10am Sharp 

 

Venue: Tempe Dojo -Tempe Public School, Unwins Bridge Rd & Union Street

Entries Close: All entries must be submitted by Midnight - Thursday 11th May 2017 

 

Medical Clearance: All competitors 18 years of age and older must have a current medical clearance to compete in this event. No clearance no fights and no refunds will be issued for failure to provide a current medical clearance.

Additional Information:

 

For Knockdown Kumite the following equipment is required:

Junior Division: clean dogi with appropriate badges, mouth guard, groin guard (males), protective head gear, white shin & instep protectors, and white mitts as approved by the IFKKA.

 

Cadet Division: clean dogi with appropriate badges, mouth guard, groin guard (males), protective head gear, and white shin & instep protectors as approved by the IFKKA.

 

Novice adults: clean dogi with appropriate badges, mouth guard, groin guard (males), white shin & instep protectors as approved by the IFKKA.

 

Adult Open and Intermediate adults: clean dogi with appropriate badges, mouth guard, groin guard (males), white shin & instep protectors as approved by the IFKKA.

 

Optional: Chest guards (females) but highly recommended, must be of separate cup type and must not cover the solar plexus.

 

For Kumite Events Body Piercings: Are to be removed if they are unable to be removed, it is the responsibility of competitor with piercings to ensure they are adequately covered with tape The student is to supply their own tape and it is to be of a type used for rigid sports strapping eg Elastoplast Sport Rigid Strapping Tape. This is to be inspected, and the  final decision for inclusion in the event will be made by the event coordinator on the day.
