Parent Seminar Series: How to Encourage Healthy Friendships
Monday 29 May 2017
7.00pm - 8.00pm
Madeleine Centre for Music and the Performing Arts
Your daughter’s friendships are one of the biggest influences in her young life, helping her to feel connected and happy, and supporting the development of her sense of identity. Yet it is normal for girls to experience friendship difficulties from time to time, which can be very distressing. Parents may worry about many things to do with girls’ friendships including the intensity of a friendship, the lack of perceivable friends, or the negative influence a particular friend is having.
Come along to this seminar to learn about girls’ friendships and how to support their peer relations. You will learn about current conceptualisations of girls’ friendships and practical strategies that can empower them to have healthy relationships.
About the Seminar Series
