The Greek Centre is set to become a Friday night favourite again with the return of Live at the Greek, a fortnightly music program showcasing Melbourne's best Greek musicians. Grab a parea, settle in with a drink and enjoy an evening of traditional and contemporary sounds.
Friday 30 June will see the return of the Epirotiko Ensemble, taking listeners on a 'taxidi' through the region, playing a vast blend of traditional songs about history, love and hardship, together with classic dance pieces.
The line up includes Arthur Kostarakis (clarinet, vocals), Tony Iliou (laouto, vocals), Nikos Kapralos (guitar, vocals), Polyxeni Theologidis (vocals) and John Kostarakis (percussion, vocals).
