MISF Festival Concerts at Deakin Edge Theatre

The School of Hard Knocks and the 2017 Melbourne International Singers Festival present 3 fabulous concerts at Deakin Edge Theatre over the Queen's Birthday weekend

 

Friday 9th June at 7pm

7pm INTUITIVE Australian Book Launch Premiere.

Written by Amazon's No 1 Best Selling Author, Craigh Wilson

7.45pm Interval

8.15pm ACQUIRED TASTE World Premiere....a comedic look at community choirs - of choral proportions.

Written and directed by Andy Payne featuring THECHO!R conducted by Musical Director Dr Jonathon Welch AM 

 

Saturday 10th June at 8pm

TOBIAS & THE ANGEL Australian Premiere by Jonathon Dove.

Conducted by Patrick Burns featuring XL Arts and the School of Hard Knocks AE massed choir

 

Monday 12th June at 2.30pm

BEST of BRITISH conducted by Special Guest Conductor Simon Kenway

featuring Footscray-Yarraville City Band conducted by Phillipa Edwards,  the 300 voice Massed Festival Choir and individual choirs including THECHO!R, Divine Divas of Sunbury, Musica (Brisbane), Men Aloud!, Voices of Casey, Latrobe Valley Community Choir, Western Health Singers plus more!.

NB: Intuitive’ book launch and ‘Acquired Taste’ performance that takes place immediately after at 8.15pm on June 9 are totally unrelated events. Purchasing a ticket allows access to one or both events, and attendance is at the choice of the consumer.
