Working with Hoarding and Squalor - The Neuropsychology of Squalor

 

The Central Highlands Hoarding and Squalor Action Group is holding a FREE 'Working with Hoarding and Squalor' workshop for professionals working in clinical and community mental health, community services and other related professions.

This is a chance for professionals working with people experiencing these issues to gain knowledge of the latest research findings, treatment options and possible referrals pathways. This workshop will also highlight the complex issues of squalor and hoarding and create an understanding of the different presentations and the possible reasons behind the issues.


Presenters:

  • Professor Macfarlane, Head of Clinical Services at The Dementia Centre HammondCare. Professor Macfarlane is an expert in frontal lobe disorders, hoarding and squalor issues, aged care psychiatry, and health care policy.
  • Gaye Sumsion Registered Mental Health Nurse, Hoarding and Squalor Practitioner and Co-Director of Room2Improve.
