Tasmanian women from migrant and refugee backgrounds invite you to join us in a night of fashion, storytelling and celebration of culture. Please join us for this womxn-only* event as we explore culture, religion and personal stories through the fashion of our homelands.
Through this fashion show and cultural event, we hope to build relationships between women born in Australia and from migrant and refugee backgrounds, develop a deeper understanding and appreciation of the diverse experiences of Australian women and celebrate the beauty of a multicultural society.

"Congratulations to all the wonderful women for a sensitive, informative performance. I laughed, I cried. This is exactly what we need right now and every Tasmanian woman should see it. It is innovative and creative and shows the incredible passion women from multicultural backgrounds have for their cultures."
"... what a fantastic job the girls and you did to put together something so much more than a fashion parade. The girls are truly inspiring."
"I thoroughly enjoyed the performance. I laughed and I cried and I went home feeling positive about the future for our multicultural community in Tasmania. I hope you have the resources to take the performances further. What a beautiful way to provide cultural and religious awareness in these difficult times."
*Please note that to be appropriate for some cultural sensitivies, this show is strictly for people who identify as women. It is suitable for ages 8 and over.
Women's Business is presented in partnership with the Students Against Racism and with the support of A Fairer World, TasTAFE and the Tasmanian Government.
