QPW weekend workshop: Voices with Impact

Voices with Impact will help women speak out authentically with confidence by working on both the outer and inner voices.

  • Do you ever feel you’d like more impact with your voice?
  • Do you ever feel like you hold yourself back from speaking out in some way?
  • Or that your voice doesn’t cut through all the noise or loud people?
  • Would you like to have a voice that’s more confident and colourful?

The Interesting thing about our voice and our impact is that the outer voice and inner voices are inter-connected.

We first need to give ourselves permission to have a voice, to be heard.

Richard Lawton, Master voice coach, and Megumi Miki, Founder or Quietly Powerful are coming together to work on the outer and inner voices. During this weekend workshop, you will learn about:

VOICE: Find more power, range and colour in your voice, by understanding the physiology and psychology behind our voices.

PRESENCE: Have a powerful presence to back your voice, using outside-in and inside-out presence building strategies.

BELIEFS: Become aware of the inner voices – inner critic, judge and imposter – that stops you from having a voice when you need to. Use a range of strategies to weaken the impact of these limiting inner voices.

It will be a full day of practical exercises and experimentation of various strategies. You will walk away with the strategies that work best for you, which you can apply straight away.

About the Facilitators, Richard and Megumi

Richard Lawton is an internationally renowned performing arts teacher and passionate conductor of change in business and in life. He has been inspiring groups and individuals for over 25 years in Australia, the US and Europe. He has taught at Sydney, Monash and Victoria Universities, the VCA and NIDA. As a master of voice and presentation, Richard has trained many business leaders, actors and singers.

“Richard managed to persuade a fairly sceptical group of participants to step out of their comfort zone, which increased their confidence levels. An unusual and valuable component was his providing each of them with insightful, individual, real-time feedback, which they were able to implement immediately.” Laura Grant: Graduate Resourcing Consultant: Lander & Rogers

Megumi Miki is the Founder of Quietly Powerful Women, helping quieter professional women to succeed on their own terms. With deep experience in leadership development, Megumi helps quieter women to lead authentically, have their talents recognised and achieve the career success they deserve.

“Megumi's program has made a significant difference to me. I learned how to use my quiet strengths at work. I feel more comfortable and confident in unfamiliar environments. I learned how to practice and manage my inner voice and remain calm.” Renee, Business Analyst
