WRITING&CONCEPTS

Picturing Holes – the final lecture in the 2017 Writing&Concepts series with Erik Jensen
Kate Jennings says she writes about silences. Her books are full of ellipses – the holes families cut to make life bearable. After working through her archive, Erik Jensen reflects on the way biography attempts to knit these holes, how a person and their art is made up of the bits they choose not to show.

Erik Jensen is the founding editor of The Saturday Paper. His first book, Acute Misfortune: The Life and Death of Adam Cullen, won the Nib Prize for Literature and was shortlisted for the Walkley Book Award and the Victorian Premier’s Literary Awards.

4pm.
SOUND ART PERFORMANCE
