There are lots of available entry passes so these probably won't book out. The accommodation is very limited so you will need to book in as soon as possible.
Please note that I will be unable to accept late bookings for this camp.
Costumes are encouraged! We would love for you to make and wear costumes appropriate for the 1800s in Australia.
There is a huge range of optional workshops. We will be allocated into groups of about 12 to 15 students (just like we did with Kryal Castle). Each group will rotate through the activities and workshops. However, if you or your child would prefer to take some time out, or just wander around the Pioneer Village, then that is fine too.
All workshops are included in the above one day or three day passes. If you are attending for just one day, you will be allocated to a group for that day and you will have the option of joining in with the activities on offer for that day or for your group. You will not be able to pick and choose from any of the activities because some groups may already be filled and some activities may not be on offer for that day.
Activities include a laser light show on one evening, a trip on the paddle steamer, a horse drawn vehicle ride, Aboringinal culture and bush tucker plate (gluten free, dairy free and vegan options are available), pioneer building, black smithing (for ages 8 and above - the age restriction is not negotiable), pioneer school, rope making, peg dolls, morse code, butter churning, pioneer games and toys, pioneer laundry, pioneer photo parlour (dress up and use your own camera to take photos), print shop, music shop and more.
You can choose the accommodation option that suits you best.
Accommodation at the Village is in dorms with shared bathrooms. Catering is provided and a range of dietary needs can be catered for. There are only 12 rooms available so you will need to book early if you plan to stay in the dorms at the Pioneer Village.
Four Nights Accommodation (with Catering) for a Student (5 to 17) is $264 ($66 per night)
Four Nights Accommodation (with Catering) for a Preschooler (0 to 4) is Free
Four Nights Accommodation (with Catering) for an Adult is $144 ($36 per night)
You could also stay at the Big 4 Riverside Swan Hill which is on the same road (Monash Drive) as the Pioneer Village.
Another option is to stay at Hiltop Resort. This resort is in Swan Hill and is owned by a home educating family.
By booking in for this event you agree that your children remain your responsibility during the camp, you participate at your own risk, and that you have read and agreed to the HEN Camp Guidelines.
