Outdoor Conenctions Rafting and Exploring (7-14 years) - North Werri
Meet at Bungulla Rd, 53 Werri St (Bungulla Reserve is the closest small reserve to North Werri toilet block - drive down Pacific Avenue as it turns into Werri St and the location is approx 400m on your right)
Children aged 7 - 14 will construct rafts to float in the shallows of the water and explore the edges of the mouth of the lagoon. The children will also engage in nature play games, shelter building and exploring the area. Note the meeting point is Bungulla Reserve and we head to the beach from there.
Staff members present on this day have Bronze Medallion qualifications. Note children are constructing rafts and floating them in the shallow water, with an approximate maximum depth of up to 80cm. While they are not swimming in the water they are likely to get wet in the rafting activity. Wet suits can be packed if children own them, standard beach quick dry clothing is suitable also.
