Tree of Life - MORWELL
Tree of Life for children aged 6 - 13
The Tree of Life program is designed to encourage children to engage in group-based activities with others around their lived experience.
The metaphor of a tree is used as the framework, to assist participants explore and speak about aspects of their lives (positive and challenging). The Tree of Life encompasses: roots (where did I come from), ground (where I live and what I do each day), trunk (special skills and abilities), branches (hopes and dreams), leaves (special people) and fruit (gifts).
The sessions will be facilitated and supported by adults who have been specifically chosen and trained by PCA Families in the Tree of Life model. Every adult holds a current Working with Children Check.
The program is ideal for primary school aged children, ages 6—13 with a maximum of 12 children in each group.
Children must attend both Saturday and Sunday of the workshops. Parents do not stay with their children, but are encouraged to return on the last day for a celebration of the children’s work which will be held at 2.00pm.
Our CEO, Brenda Carmen will be available at each workshop if parents and carers would like to meet her and have a chat.
The organiser will be sent the details of this message.
