2. The performance of HELL SHIP at the Kerang Memorial Hall, 7.30pm
In the spring of 1852, the clipper Ticonderoga limped through the heads of Melbourne's Port Phillip Bay after a nightmare three-month voyage from Liverpool. Only through the tireless efforts of Ticonderoga's young assistant surgeon, William Boyle, assisted by a young passenger nurse, Annie Morrison, were many of her passengers saved.

As these stories sometimes go, he married the young nurse, and the two lived a long and happy life.

He was also Michael Veitch's Great-Great Grandfather.
