WIRED OPEN LABS 2018: Resin Jewellery Mould Making & Casting
AFTER A SOLD OUT WORKSHOP IN 2017, THE WIRED LAB WELCOMES BACK NADINE SHARPE OF OWN SWEET TIME.
Join Nadine Sharpe as she runs this introductory course on silicon mould making and resin jewellery casting using fast curing resin.
This interactive workshop is full of learning and hands-on experience.
IN THIS 4.5 Hour Workshop you will learn
The mould-making workshop will take students step by step through how to make a mould of one of their favourite bangles & rings, or another appropriate piece, or use one of Own Sweet Time's designs. This mould will be able to be used again and again to create further pieces at home. While the mould is curing, students learn the art of resin casting, using Own Sweet Time's silicone moulds to cast a bangle and a ring, in the colour of their choice. A second casting will then be done in the newly created mould, learning more creative casting techniques, within the limitations of fast curing resin.
We will cover hand-sanding techniques, so the pieces will be finished to highest standards.
Who Should Attend?
