Dan Strange, Principal of Oakhill Theological College, London, will speak live from London about the theological challenges faced by English churches and what we can learn from their experience.
10:30-11:00 Morning Tea
Michael Kellahan, Executive Director of Freedom for Faith will outline the legal challenges for Christian ministry and update us on the current political situation.
Rosaria Butterfield, author, speaker, homemaker and former professor of English will speak live from North Carolina to share her insights into reaching out to the LGBT community.
Peter Thompson, Minister of Southern Cross Presbyterian Church, Lismore, will help us understand how to support Christians who are same sex attracted.
Peter Currie, Minister of Woonona Presbyterian Church, will encourage us to take on the challenge to preach and teach about the increasingly contested topic of marriage.
Sandy McMillan, Minister of Drummoyne Presbyterian Church and GSC Committee member, will get us started talking about the nuts and bolts pastoral challenges of leading churches, discipling Christians of all ages and reaching Australian communities.
The conference closes with time for feedback, discussion and prayer.
The Conference Dinner at Burwood RSL will provide a chance to continue conversations. A special guest speaker will encourage us to commit to confident Christian living and mission.
