Struggletown - set in a rundown ghetto - is a musical about two messengers, ‘Woody & Major’, who spread the political gospel of their wise prophet - ‘Ethel the Shop Keeper’s Daughter’. Ethel’s political rival - an arrogant white male billionaire known as ‘The Swamplord’ - has recently been elected as mayor of Struggletown.
