in conversation with David Kapay - Owner/Chef Miss Amelie

‘Having experienced a dysfunctional work ethic at Jamie Oliver's Fifteen Melbourne, and an abusive kitchen culture within Gordon Ramsay's London restaurant Maze...’ – Essentials Magazine, 14th July, 2016

Please join us in conversation with locally raised David Kapay as he takes us on an enlightening journey of his life as a Chef in some of the world's most well-known restaurants.  Having lived in the UK for 5 years, David had the amazing opportunity of working for 2 famous and well regarded chef's in the industry.   Jamie Oliver at restaurant Fifteen and Gordon Ramsay at Michelin Starred restaurant Maze.  Upon returning to Melbourne, David was appointed Head Chef at Fifteen followed by a senior role at the hatted restaurant The Stokehouse before moving to another hatted restaurant, Hare and Grace as Head Chef. The opportunity for David to bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to our local dining scene arose in 2016 when Miss Amelie was born.

It's sure to be a fascinating hour as John Walker discusses with David his adventures in the dynamic kitchens he has worked in through-out the world and what has inspired him to return to his roots.  David and Miss Amelie are providing amazing opportunities for local businesses, the people and the community.  Visit Miss Amelie here
