Join other members of the Melbourne Modern Quilt Guild Inc. and spend a fun weekend at Amitie.
There will be a class on Saturday (10am-3.30pm) run by the fabulous Jen Kingwell, using her Tempter templates (templates will need to be purchased if you do not already have them) or you can bring along one of her projects for some expert guidance. You will then be welcome to stay in the store after the class before a 7pm dinner. Saturday evening (after dinner until 10pm) and Sunday (10am-3.30pm) will be free sewing.
The new Amitie cafe will be supplying morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea on both days as well as dinner on Saturday evening.
Amitie have recommended accommodation in the area at various price points and this will be made available to members upon request. As it is the low season there should be plenty of reasonably priced places to stay!
There will be 30 places available, bookings close on 16 April, unless sold out prior.
Date and Time:
Saturday 16 June 10:00AM to 10:00PM and Sunday 17 June 10:00AM to 3:30PM 2018.
Sign up information: All registrations are to be made on Trybooking. There will be an initial 3 day sign up window on 10, 11 and 12 February. In the event more than 30 members sign up during this period a ballot will be conducted and members chosen on a random basis. If places remain after 12 February these will be allocated on a first come first serve basis until capacity is reached.
Cost: Between $170-$210 dependant on number of registrations received, payable in two instalments (deposit and balance). $50 is payable upon registration, the balance will be due by 14 May 2018. Members will be advised of the balance due after 16 April.
The cost of the retreat does not include travel, accommodation, class supplies or store purchases. A list of items to bring along for the weekend will be provided upon payment of the balance.
Important information regarding refunds: There is a non-refundable $50 deposit. Should the retreat be over subscribed (more than 30 members by 11:59PM on 12 February) places will be allocated at random. Please note that if this does occur, anyone who does not get chosen in the ballot will have their deposit refunded. There are no refunds for any other balances paid and tickets are not transferable to other events. In the unlikely event that the retreat is cancelled all payments will be fully refunded. All requests for ticket transfers to another member must be made in writing.
