Margaret’s passion for healthy, natural living has led her to share her knowledge and skills with others. This workshop will empower you and increase your confidence and ability to live healthier.
In this workshop participants will learn some theory behind preserving foods, visit our HempCrete preserving room in the EcoGarden, try some preserved products and use a preserving technique to make a jar to take home.
Find out about salting, drying, boiling with sugar, smoking, canning and many other ways to keep seasonal harvest lasting for months. These powerful practical skills can then be taken home. You will be supported with a detailed handout of all the important points from the theory session as well as recipes.
