Distant Isles (Sunday 7 October 2018, 2.30pm)
Description
Norwood Symphony Orchestra evokes the rugged beauty of the Scottish isles with Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 3, inspired by the composer's first visit to Scotland in 1829. Guest soloists Rob Nairn (double bass) and Ji Won Kim (violin) also join the orchestra for Gran duo Concertante by Bottesini - a rare delight of a concerto featuring double bass and violin - and, rounding out the concert, is Bernstein's perennial favourite Overture to Candide and Australian composer Peter Sculthorpe's Sun Song.

Print-at-home tickets are available online until 10.30am on 7 October 2018. All advertised prices are inclusive of a 30c per ticket booking fee which will be added to your order during check-out. Tickets are also available at the venue from 2pm on the day of the concert (cash only).

Please note that print-at-home tickets ordered online can be presented directly at the door. There is no need to join the queue for ticket sales.
