Emerging Ethical Dilemmas in Science

Scientific advances often have unpredictable consequences. Today’s robots are our servants, but will this always be so? With greater understanding of the human genome comes questionable exploitation of that knowledge. Many issues highlight the need for scientists to confront the risks and ethics of their research, and for the community to be responsibly informed. Morry Frenkel will chair this important conversation with science writers and broadcasters Michael Brooks (UK), Norman Swan (Aust) and Elizabeth Finkel (Aust).

This session is supported by the Finkel Foundation.
