Community Art Exhibition and Fundraiser

To enter an artwork in the exhibition, please click on "BOOK NOW" then select "Entry Fee" as the ticket type. Click "next" and enter your details. You will be asked to pay the entry fee at the end of this process.

 

ABOUT THE EXHIBITION

Swan Christian College is inviting local community artists to display and sell their artwork at this exhibition. All contributing artists will have the opportunity to win a $1000 Acquisitive Art Prize sponsored by Swan Christian College and a $500 art supplies voucher sponsored by Oxdales Art Supplies.

All funds raised and percentages of artwork sold will raise funds for Swanmissions projects to feed and educate vulnerable children at the Light Up Ahead School in Zambia.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

 

1. Non-refundable Entry Fee

A non-refundable entry fee of $25 per artwork must be paid by Wednesday 29 August via cheque, bank transfer or online. Cheques should be made out to ‘Swan Christian College’ and attached to the entry form.

 

2. Entry Requirements

Incomplete entry forms will not be accepted.

Artworks must be two dimensional (i.e. paintings, drawings, prints, & photography). Three-dimensional works will not be accepted.

All artworks must be fitted with secure, concealed hanging devices and must be finished and dry.

Size limit: 1500 x 1000mm

 

3. Originality

All entries must be original work of the artist.

 

4. Identification

Works must be presented to the coordinator unwrapped. Transport wrapping is to be retained by the artist.

All work must be clearly labelled on the back with the artists name, telephone number, title of work, medium and sale price. Entry forms can be photocopied and used as labels. 

 

5. Sale of Artworks

All work submitted must be for sale. A commission of 15% will be deducted from the sale price. 

Artists will be contacted if their artwork has sold during the exhibition. All unsold artworks must be collected on Tuesday 18 September between 3:30 and 5:30pm.

Payment from any sale will be forwarded to the artist no later than one month after the exhibition.

 

6. Selection

Swan Christian College reserves the right to reject any entry due to limited space, artwork content, wet, dangerous, or delicate works that cannot be exhibited safely, or works received in a condition unsuitable for presentation. 

 

7. Judging

The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The prize winners will be announced at the official opening night on Friday 14 September.

 

8. Insurance

Artists exhibit at their own risk and are responsible for costs relating to freight and insurances of works whilst in transit and exhibition. No liability is accepted for any loss or damage during transit or exhibition

 

9. Copyright

All entrants permit Swan Christian College to reproduce any works in print or media for promotional purposes.

 

10. Submission and Collection

All entries must be submitted during the times outlined below (see ‘Important Dates’). 

Works should be delivered and collected at the following location:

Maali Mia Foyer, Swan Christian College 381 Great Northern Hwy, Middle Swan.

 

All artworks not collected by 5:30pm on 18 September will become the property of the College and may be sold with 100% of sale proceeds retained by the College.
