Introduction to Dalcroze Eurythmics

Dalcroze Eurhythmics (‘good rhythm’) is a music education method renowned for its dynamic, inspiring and creative music making suitable for all ages – it is loved by children, young musicians and adults alike.
NECOM’s Introduction to Dalcroze Eurhythmics is ideal for pre-school and K-Yr 6 teachers, secondary music and studio teachers, tertiary education students, conductors, composers, performers (musicians and dancers), music therapists and anyone interested in improving their skills in music.
Sat 23 June

Sun 24 June 
Session 3: 9:00-12:00pm - Secondary
Session 4: 1:30pm - 4:30pm - Studio Teachers 

The workshops offer an invaluable chance to learn about Dalcroze foundations (movement, listening and improvisation) by experiencing them in action through creative movement, games, rhythmics, listening, voice work and improvisation.
Each workshop introduces activities for specific student age groups with plenty of take-home practical ideas, although all activities can be applied to any age group.
