A Workshop for Parish Leaders
Wednesday 25 July 2018: 1.30pm - 4.00pm
 
Facilitator: Sr Nicole Rotaru is a Sister of Mercy with a background in education, social work and creative arts therapy and is the author of several books. She has worked with McAuley Community Services for Women and MacKillop Family Services on understanding and responding to domestic violence, particularly as it affects children.
Workshop Outcomes - that parish leaders will:
  • develop a better understanding of family violence and its impact, particularly on women and children.

  • be able to identify some of the issues that contribute to the complexity of family violence in our community.

  • grow in appreciation of the power of empathetic listening in helping to bring about change – both in the individual and in the wider community.
