Presented by Joanna Zhu
Joanna Zhu is a bilingual clinical psychologist who works with children and adolescents from diverse cultural backgrounds. She has extensive clinical experience with young people and their parents.
Joanna also conducts regular workshops for parents from various backgrounds, as well as consultations for secondary teachers and school counsellors who work with international students.
The presentation Student Safety and Wellbeing - Best practice for maintaining Mental Health and Wellbeing for our International Students aims to deepen the understanding of the psychological issues international students may present by exploring a range of contributing factors, such as family structure, cultural factors, financial background, learning and social experiences prior to arrival in Australia.
Joanna will also provide insight on parenting issues which impact student management.
An interactive session will follow the main presentation which will include case studies and question time.
