Byron Bay: LOCALISM 28˚S
LOCALISM 28˚S "Local sub-tropical architecture made by non-local architects.”
"One of the first questions you get asked when in this town is 'are you a local?'. This never rang true for me, maybe as I am not. Or wasn’t. But does it matter? All kinds of people make contributions to the community, health, discourse and vibrancy of this place without being from here. Is being a ‘local’ an advantage to making great architecture? And what is a local anyway?"
Curated by Dominic Finlay Jones of Dominic Finlay Jones Architects, on behalf of the Institute's NSW Country Division.
