Queensland & Victoria | 12:00pm - 1:00pm

This talks about Tasmania, its landscape and how architecture might respond in Tasmania - what makes a Tasmanian Architecture? Who are we to suggest there might be a “Tasmanian Architecture”?

This discusses the cultural paradox of our coastal margin and how our buildings might refer with servility to our landscape.

Key Note Speaker |Stuart Tanner

I am an architect based in Hobart, Tasmania. I have a deep connection to the Tasmanian Landscape and it’s unique and diverse character as a counterpoint to mainland Australia.

I am married with two daughters and we enjoy summer camping together. I love the bush and have surfed and free-dived since I was young. I also play guitar.

STUART TANNER ARCHITECTS has been in practice for 17 years. We have predominantly built the firm on residential projects and now also have a mix of tourism, hospitality, heritage and public infrastructure projects.
