Footscray Community Arts Centre’s West Writers Group are excited to bring you a weekend of literary activities and events for all ages, presented as part of Melbourne Writers Festival. The sessions will showcase work from an exciting range of artists through craft, performance and discussion, mixing local favourites and new faces. Melbourne Writers Festival will take place from 24 August until 2 September.

Experience award-winning writer Michael Mohammed Ahmad’s confronting, claustrophobic, violent and unrelentingly authentic new novel The Lebs, with dramatic readings and discussion. Hosted by Khalid Warsame and featuring readings by writers from the Footscray community.
