Digital Now, Sydney


Digital is having a huge impact on retail marketing in 2018, and we at POPAI believe this year is a tipping point where we will see more and more activations including a digital component. Pernod Ricard's head of shopper marketing, Richard Dumas, will discuss how changing shopper behaviour, and in particular the revolution in mobile and social, has meant that digital has become an increasingly important part of Pernod Ricard's strategy, so much so that a new digital conversion function now fits within the shopper marketing team.

According to Richard, the revolution in digital for the first time gives a direct, two-way connection between brand and shopper and he is convinced that there has never been a more exciting time to work in shopper marketing.

POPAI GM, Carla Bridge will present a short overview of some of the digital technologies being used around the world in retail marketing, along with top case studies.

Attendees will be served a light breakfast, networking, and two presentations - all before 9am!

About Richard Dumas

Richard currently heads up the Shopper Marketing team at Pernod-Ricard Australia. This team is responsible for developing activations in both retail and on-premise channels across wine, spirits and champagne, that inspire shoppers and consumers to pick up Pernod Ricard brands. A member of the POPAI ANZ board since July 2015, he has more than 20 years’ experience in the liquor industry in Australia, UK and various European markets with a background that includes sales, category and shopper marketing roles, he has a thorough understanding of how to drive conversion across all channels.
