This annual event is a time to celebrate the efforts of our junior players and to recognise the contributions of others within the Club (music, magician, raffles & DIY photo booth).

These will be organised so that where possible, players will be seated on their own team table and family members for that team will also be together.  If you have daughters that play in separate teams, please advise which team's parents you would like us to try and sit you with.

2018 Annual General Meeting

Committee roles

President - provides leadership and vision for the Club so that it remains strong, competitive and well respected; keeps members updated regarding developments; ensures all players and parents conduct themselves with integrity and that a culture of giving back and teamwork is nurtured and developed.

Secretary - keeps the Club's regulatory obligations up to date and in order; organises the Club including monthly meeting venues/agendas/minutes and distributes. Checks PO Box and gmail inboxes for mail regularly and distributes. Keeps gmail and Club documents organised.

Treasurer - manages the Club's financial affairs including setting of fees, issuing of player invoices, payment of creditors, chasing up of debtors; reporting to the committee on the financial status of the Club along with ensuring legal and regulatory reporting matters are complied with.

Head Coach - leads the Club's coaching team and manages the Club's coaching pipeline via its yet to be launched, Emerging Coaches Program. Recruits and mentors those new to coaching, ensures the continued development of existing coaches; recommends coaching courses; organises bi-monthly meetings of coaches; facilitates organisation of the Club's annual grading day and along with other coaches and committee members, plays a key role in the selection and grading of players into teams.

Club Administrator (PAID ROLE) -  this role will require someone who has strong verbal and written communication skills, shows strong attention to detail, is experienced in managing data and is generally responsive to the needs of the club's administration needs.  Tasks include responsibility for managing the club's current and former membership data, being the key contact for new player enquiries received via email or phone and is the key responder regarding opportunities.  Creates and manages the club's registration process via trybooking and checks regularly on registration progress.  Keeps committee and Team Managers for Open teams updated regarding progress (2 junior and 2 open seasons), provides details of team members to coaches for juniors and Team Managers for Opens and sends out notification to players regarding their allocated teams.  Works closely with Parkville/EDNA Netball Competitions in relation to team entries, player registrations and grading allocations.  We estimate that this role will require 80hrs in the first half of the year and 40hrs in the second.  A rate of $25ph will be payable, paid monthly upon receipt of a time sheet.  As a new role, the time sheet will provide an assessment as to the areas of responsibility and help in assessing needs going forward. Uniform Coordinator - orders and makes available for collection a supply of uniforms for purchase by existing and new players.  Liaises with suppliers and ensures quality in product.

Equipment Coordinator - collects coaches bags from coaches annually, restocks, distributes. Keeps check of Aberfeldie storage container, ensures it is secure and well stocked of balls, bibs, pumps, etc and orders any special requests during the year.

Sections Representative - attends monthly meetings of the Essendon Sporting Club's sections providing a written update regarding the progress of teams.  Brings any Sections matters to the attention of the Club ensuring our relationship is maintained.

Functions Coordinator - working with support from General Committee members, organises the annual presentation night and AGM along with any other functions during the year. 

Social Media Manager - promotes Club communication both internally and externally by ensuring that the Club's website and Team App is kept updated and that the Club's Facebook page is used by coaches and teams to communicate club events and celebrate regular team and player achievements

General Member - provides general assistance to other committee members as required from time to time eg with grading day organisation, presentation night and chasing up of outstanding fees.
