In November this year, a crew of fathers and friends of children who have had life changing neurosurgery at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest distance ever travelled in a dragon boat, by paddling 600km down the Murray River.
This courageous and crazy crew are trying to raise over $200,000 to fund the ongoing position of a specialised neuroscientist for the management of brain scans of children with epilepsy, brain tumours, stroke and malformations. The level of care and expertise our children have been lucky to receive is world class and has positively changed the outcome of their lives. In an effort to meaningfully give back to the Neurology team the crew are undertaking this massive challenge.
All proceeds from this legendary party will go directly to the Royal Children’s Hospital Neurology Department.
