This dynamic class will provide students with the tools to audition for theatre and film through the exploration of monologue and scene work.
Students will explore strategies for approaching audition techniques for both mediums while engaging in direct performance practice. This class will not only look at the performance elements for auditioning but will also examine strategies for approaching the audition, how to prepare prior and how to present during, things to consider and how to manage nerves.
The term will be equally led over an 8 week period by Stevie and Mark, with a split focus on Theatre and Film, 4 weeks on both. Students are encouraged to attend all sessions.
Students will also be given the opportunity to develop a series of audition pieces for both mediums for their continued use and practice. Students will have the opportunity to audition for a mock panel for theatre and film which will be set in the supportive and safe space of the Sunday Training sessions.
Led by Theatre Maker/Performer/Director Mark Storen and award winning Film and TV commercial director Stevie Cruz Martin this is an excellent opportunity for young performers to collect and develop working audition pieces they can use for future auditions as they begin their artistic journey.
The organiser will be sent the details of this message.
