The Red Room Theatre brings you Abattoir Noir, a dark cabaret that explores the politics of visibility and voice, the cruel consequences of the self-inflicted schism between man and beast, accompanied by original music and song. The sweaty labyrinth of the slaughterhouse killing floor; Animals destined for oblivion on the supermarket shelf; the slaughterhouse workers who process them, at breakneck speed along the ‘defabrication’ line, that corporeal transition from ‘being’ to ‘product’. Written by Kenneth MacLeod, performed by Kenneth MacLeod, Clare Shamier and Kate Stones
WARNING: Contains explicit material pertaining to animal slaughter - not suitable for children under 15
