I Matter Foundation

This event is a fund raiser for I Matter Foundation. We support people dealing with some tough challenges through self-protection programs that help to restore courage, confidence and community. These programs are offered to survivors of family violence, people with mental health challenges, people with disabilities and children and youth in alternative accommodation.

One of our participants paused in the middle of a class to say 'All my life I have been afraid because of the things that have happened to me. I am not afraid anymore'. Your support will help to ensure there are more stories like this one!

FOP Australia

FOP Australia is a national organisation established to support people living with Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva (FOP) and their fight to find a cure for this devastating disease. FOP is one of the rarest, most disabling genetic conditions known to medicine, causing bone to form in muscles (and other soft tissue) leading to ongoing and permanent restriction of movement.

FOP Australia aim to link families and develop a supportive community, and to link clinicians together with international leaders in FOP research and care. FOP  Australia also support the international effort to understand this mysterious disease and identify effective treatments.

Harmony Lee is currently with Opera Scholars Australia (OSA) and has performed with Victorian Opera and Youth Victorian Opera. She sings in events such as Opera in the Alps, Opera in the Market and Voices in the Twilight. This year Harmony won a scholarship with the Maroondah Singers Choir. In the Royal South St Eisteddfod, Harmony placed first in every section and was awarded the ANATS prize for most promising singer. She will be performing some timeless classics for us.

We will also be running a silent auction on the night, so hopefully, you will be taking home some extra treats.

A glass of champagne will be provided on arrival and light refreshments will be served during the evening. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.

Important Notes:

Photos and video will be taken at the event for promotional purposes. Please indicate when you book your tickets if you would prefer that you are not included in promotional photos and video.
