Building from the session held earlier this year at Heritage 101 this workshop will provide practical information and insights. Presented to you by the Department of Environment and Science and a Heritage Architect, learn practical skills in how to make applications for heritage places.
 Ruth Woods, a heritage architect will share about the role of Australia ICOMOS and the Burra Charter. She'll give us insight on cultural heritage and the importance of a conservation management. Learn more about local heritage in Brisbane and some practical tools.
Ben Carson, a principal heritage officer will share the different assessment pathways when working on State heritage places. Delving deeper, he'll cover the Queensland Heritage Act 1992 and Planning Act 2016.
Marie-Anne Ammons, Marie-Anne, a principal heritage officer will discuss the information requirement to support an application for State heritage places including information and requests and hertiage impact statement.
