Study skills seminar for high ability students in years 9-12

It is often assumed that high ability students will achieve well, academically. Unfortunately, many students with heightened intellectual abilities have cruised through the early years of their education without having to expend much effort. In the later years of secondary school and beyond, in order to achieve academic results that reflect intellectual capabilities, it is essential that high ability students develop and implement effective study skills.

This seminar is specifically designed to teach high ability students study skills that help students to use their time and abilities efficiently.

9:00am – 4:00pm Saturday 23rd March 2019

Early Bird registration costs:

  •      Non-members - $140

Michele Juratowitch is author of Study: The Simple Facts, an introduction to study skills, used in numerous Australian schools. Michele draws on research and her extensive experience working with high ability students, to help students identify a range of critical study skills required to achieve academic success.

Michele worked in schools for over twenty years before establishing a consultancy practice, Clearing Skies, to provide a range of services including study skills programs for students and parent education.

Michele was awarded a Churchill Fellowship; is a member of educational advisory committees; has worked with all educational sectors and levels; is a researcher, a frequent conference presenter, resource developer and author.

Students registering will need to bring their own lunch, drinks and writing requirements
