The Graduate College of Dance – LA SYLPHIDE

The students of The Graduate College of Dance will perform LA SYLPHIDE, one of the world’s oldest surviving ballets of the Romantic era.

Set in the mists of Scotland, it is the story of James, a young farmer, who falls in love with a beautiful ethereal Sylphide on the day he is to wed his betrothed. He is betrayed by a witch and in the end James loses both his betrothed and the Sylphide.
An enchanting ballet with glorious music from Herman Severin Løvenskiold and original choreography by August Bournonville.
