Mechanical Menagerie Make-a-thon: Ages 10 to 17

Spend two days designing, making and programming your own robotic pet. You will work collaboratively with a partner student over the two days learning coding, electronics and physical prototyping. Scitech mentors will teach you how to use Scratch to program a Hummingbird Duo microcontroller which will form the ‘brain’ of your robotic pet. You will use your creativity to bring your creature to life. You could choose to display your robotic pets inside Scitech for friends, family and visitors to interact with. No previous programming skills are needed, though creativity and a sense of fun are essential.

Please bring your own snacks and lunch.
