Day 1: Post-harvest seminar

The 2019 Post-harvest seminar will feature a range of speakers covering post-harvest physiology, storage technology, management, insights and analysis of the future retailer landscapein the context of the apple and pear industry. Speakers include: Professor Christopher Watkins, Dr David Fellicetti, Tito Spaldi, Stephen Tancred, Dr Hannah James, Ian Reichstein and Tristen Kitchener.

Day 2: Tour of Southern Victoria (optional)

Seminar attendees are invited to participate in a tour of the Southern Victoria region the following day. This is a great opportunity for interstate orchard managers and employees to visit the various, progressive, intensive orchard systems Southern Victoria has to offer. Participants will board a bus at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) at 8:15am and will return to Melbourne Airport at 6pm, then into the CBD at 6:40pm.

 

RSVP by Monday, 8 January for the orchard tour to secure your place on the bus.

The region tour is an opportunity for interstate orchard managers and employees to visit the various, progressive, intensive orchard systems Southern Victoria has to offer. Participants will board a bus at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) at 8:15am and will return at 6pm dropping participants at Melbourne Airport and then in the CBD at 6:40pm. RSVP by Monday, 8 January for the orchard tour to secure your place on the bus.
