Overview
Dr Marina Hurley shows you what to write in each section of your research paper, with particular attention paid to the Introduction and Discussion sections. We also cover the steps necessary to get your paper published. The practical exercises allow you to work on your own project and to produce a content-rich first draft.

- Structure your Abstract, Introduction and Discussion.
- Decide what literature or information should be included to strengthen your findings. - Avoid common mistakes that cause papers to be rejected for publication.

About the presenter

Since 2005, Dr Marina Hurley has specialised in teaching scientific and professional writing through her Writing Clear Science training consultancy. Prior to 2005, Marina worked as an ecological scientist for 20 years. Marina is Visiting Fellow at UNSW teaching PhD students.
