A fully guided tour of the Government House State Rooms highlighting various periods of imported and locally made furniture (specifically the King's Yard pieces). Professional furniture experts will tell some of the tales that these pieces have to offer. You will hear about the methods of construction and the history of pieces dating back to the first Tasmanian Government House and the early 1820s.
Tour duration is approximately one (1) hour and concludes with a light morning tea in the Stables.
TIME: 10.30 am - second Thursday of each month; however, as Government House is a working establishment, substitute dates may sometimes be offered.
Photography is permitted.
Parking will be available on site. Please drive through the main gates and you will be directed to the car park.

All revenue from the tour program is directed to the maintenance and preservation of the Government House Estate.
