Family Tree Workshop: Using Your DNA Results
Good news! The Friends of the PMI Victorian History Library can help. Come along to this hands-on workshop run by experienced tutors.
Learn how you can use your DNA results to gain greater knowledge about your ancestry and how you can use that information to create your family tree.
The workshop will use Ancestry.com to demonstrate how to create your family tree.
You will require an Ancestry.com subscription in order to create or work on your family tree during the workshop. If you do not wish to subscribe to Ancestry.com at this stage, you are still welcome to attend but you will be limited in what you can do during the hands-on activities.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
- Notepad and pen/pencil.
- A laptop if you wish to get to work on your family tree during the session.
- BYO lunch. Alternatively, there are many cafes nearby.
This lesson is not a promotional day for Ancestry. The aim is to give you the basics of creating your family tree and demonstrate how to use online services such as Ancestry.com.
Limited spaces available, bookings essential.
- 3:30pm (breaks provided)
Gold coin donation invited.
