The guest speaker at Sydney Rotary Club’s Breakfast Meeting on Tuesday 12th February will be Nyunggai Warren Mundine, AO.

As one of the nation’s top indigenous political advisers, Warren Mundine has dedicated his life to representing indigenous Australians in public office and highlighting horrific levels of family and sexual violence prevalent in Aboriginal families and communities.

A Bundjalung man from northern NSW, Warren also has paved the way for broader and more balanced representation of Aboriginal people in Australian politics.

He left school at 16 and has been a leading figure for more than three decades in working to close the gap between indigenous and non-indigenous communities. Warren became the first indigenous Australian to serve as president of an Australian political party when he was elected by the Australian Labor Party in 2006. He has since been chairman of many leading indigenous groups, including the Australian Indigenous Education Foundation and the Australian Indigenous Chamber of Commerce.

Warren is currently a columnist for The Australian and hosts his own show on Sky News Australia, Mundine Means Business. He is the author of the bestselling memoir In Black+White.

Visitors welcome.  Cost: $28.00.  Barista coffee served from 7:00am.
