Paediatric Symposium: Solving the clinical challenges

This symposium will focus on increasing knowledge and building collaboration. The main sessions will focus on Developmental Haemostasis, Artificial Circuits, and Thrombosis and outcomes.

Synopsis: The Paediatric Thrombosis satellite will focus on increasing knowledge and building collaboration. The main sessions are going to focus on Developmental Haemostasis, Artificial Circuits, and Thrombosis and outcomes. Each session will consist of state-of-the-art updates, research presentations, and panel discussions.

Aims:

  • To foster discussion around key issues in paediatric thrombosis and anticoagulation.
  • To enhance international collaborations in paediatric thrombosis and haemostasis.
  • To promote interdisciplinary perspectives on thrombosis and anticoagulation in children.
  • To promote the value of specific paediatric basic science research in furthering our understanding of clinical thrombosis and anticoagulation in neonates and children.

Agenda:

9am arrival for 9:30am start (coffee and morning tea available at this time)

9:30am – 12pm ; Session 1 - Developmental Haemostasis

12pm – 1pm ; Lunch

1pm –3pm ; Session 2 - Artificial Circuits

3pm-3:30pm ; Afternoon tea
