Exhibition Talk: "Wartime Quilts" - Dr Annette Gero

Annette Gero, Collector, Curator and Quilt Historian will describe how she found the quilts in this
exhibition, the history of these visually stunning quilts all made from military fabrics and some of the exciting stories along the way about how she discovered these quilts. There are only about 100 known in the world and no one knows why these quilts were made or what they were used for, or why the patterns are so visually extraordinary.

Date: Saturday 23 February 2019
Venue: Cowra Civic Centre - Theatrette, Darling Street (opposite the CRAG)
Time: 2pm - 3pm followed by afternoon tea and special book signing by Annette Gero of her award winning book "Wartime Quilts , Appliqu├ęs and Geometric masterpieces"
Cost: $10 pp ($5 Friends of the Gallery, membership card must be shown at the door)
