Raptors - birds of prey of the Adelaide Hills
Please note: Due to large bookings we are changing the venue from Purtinga Wetlands and Environmental Centre to our performing arts theatre located in the ‘Atelier’ building.
Bookings will remain open for this larger capacity location.
With strong talons, curved beaks and keen eyesight, a bird of prey is a perfectly designed hunting machine. The “raptors” as these birds are known include species such as eagles, falcons and hawks. Conservationist and naturalist John Gitsham will give us an insight into the species of raptors which share our home here in the Adelaide Hills.
John has a passion for birds and is President of Birds SA. He has over 25 years’ experience birding and is also an avid and skilled photographer. You can hear John, see his photos and learn about the raptors of the Hills at Purtinga Centre, Cornerstone College.
Come and join us at around 6.30pm for pre-event snacks.
John’s presentation will go for about 80 minutes.
