Journeying Together towards Genuine Reconciliation
JOURNEYING TOGETHER TOWARDS GENUINE RECONCILIATION
THURSDAY 14TH MARCH 2019: 9AM - 11.30AM
We all need to do better to close the gap on Indigenous disadvantage. Within the social services sector, this means developing our understanding of the intergenerational and ongoing trauma and impact of colonisation. It means building our understanding of the issues important to Aboriginal people including the Uluru Statement from the Heart and the Victorian Treaty process. It means continuing the journey of reconciliation together.
Catholic Social Services Victoria, together with Aboriginal Catholic Ministry is running a Journeying Together Towards Genuine Reconciliation workshop on 14 March 2019. Victorian Treaty Commissioner Jill Gallagher will present and there will be opportunity for discussion on the Treaty process and to hear from members about reconciliation. Whether you are working directly or indirectly with Aboriginal communities, you and your staff are encouraged to attend this workshop. Download Flyer
