Film 'Silent Storm' Dr Hedley Marston & Atomic Tests 1950s

Silent Storm is an important film by Director Peter Butt and tells the story of CSIRO scientist and local St Peter's resident, Dr Hedley Marston, who controversially claimed that the British atomic tests at Maralinga led to the fall out of deadly Strontium 90 across Southern Australia in the 1950s. Marston’s argument was that the food chain was being contaminated and endangering human health. His torrent of complaints to government officials led to ASIO labelling him as a security threat.
